The other day I was thinking about how some seasons are more challenging than others. You know the ones I am talking about. The seasons where disappointment, fear, unexpected hi-cups and just plain sadness set in. It is in these moments that we must press into God and draw on His promises. I love how it talks about this in God’s Word…drawing us into His truth. Here is what it says;
“Finally Brothers and Sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.” Philippians 4:8
When the storms of life come, sometimes we tend to focus on the negative and find that it is more comfortable to feel sorry for ourselves because things didn’t go the way we anticipated or even more we just didn’t t get our way!. Philippians 4:8 reminds us exactly where our focus needs to be…aligned with God. It is in His presence where we will find peace, JOY, love, kindness, patience, gentleness, self-control, faithfulness, and goodness. These are the things to celebrate through Christ no matter what season we are in.
There is ALWAYS something to celebrate as we grow through Christ. He will always help, teach and guide us in every season. Today I am celebrating my sisters-in-Christ that I have linked arms with to walk this journey of life. You are all a true blessing and it is a JOY to celebrate each of you.
