The other evening my husband and I went to see “Big Daddy Weave” in concert. Also appearing that evening was Citizen’s Way and Jason Gray. What a night! As the night started I knew we were going to be in for an amazing evening of worship, individually, as well as corporately.
As each artist came to the stage it was incredible. They had come to pour into us, not only with their music, but their words.
As Jason Gray took the stage he spoke about pain and how all of us walk through it in life at one time or another. He went on to say that pain is holy ground in God’s eyes because it allows for God to completely and totally transform us as we give up our pain over to him and go through our healing. Pain can keep us paralyzed and stuck from moving forward in God’s will for our life and this is not a good place to be.
As I thought more about what Jason Gray had spoke on, I was reminded of a time in my life where the pain was too deep that I did not want to be honest with myself. I had been wounded in my work environment and I was going to make excuses for the people who hurt me instead of dealing with the pain. Thankfully, God started dealing with me and the journey through complete healing began.
None of us like to go through pain, however knowing that we are being delivered and transformed through Christ for His Glory makes it all worth it!
