This past week my website went under construction and got a fresh new look. Out with the old and in with the new. I really did like my previous site, however it was time for a change. This got me thinking about how many times in life we are literally under construction.
Something needs fixing, repairing or is just plain out of sync. When it comes to our walk with Christ it is the same way. There are times where something needs fixing and it is important to make it a priority to make sure that our heart is aligned with God’s.
When you are building a brand new house sometimes the ground can be hard to plow. With time and consistency the ground begins to soften. The same is true with us in our Spiritual walk. There is something to be said about letting God do his work in us and letting go of the control.
In those seasons of being under construction it is important to look at the big picture and realize that God has a plan and let him be the architect. Don’t give up and don’t give in, especially in the moments where it is getting rough…that is right where the enemy wants you. When you have those thoughts, hit the delete button and move on. You are a new creature in Christ. Say it out loud. It brings more life to what you believe.
We all have seasons of being under construction. I want to challenge you in those seasons to ask God what He wants you to glean from the season you are walking in? May you always remember that the present is not permanent but God’s presence is.
