Why is this happening?
What did I do wrong?
God, what is your plan?
Questions I began to CRY out to God as I searched for answers from Him. Have you ever been there? Wanting so desperately to have your Heavenly Father answer you, needing Him to answer you like you have never needed Him to hear you before?
It’s in those very moments of walking through life in the unknown of a situation that only God can give us what we need moment by moment, step by step! You see, what I continue to learn is that Satan will try to aim his darts our way and for every dart he aims we have Gods promises to combat right back at Him in Jesus’ name.
Perspective as defined in Webster’s dictionary is a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something. That is exactly what I needed. The question wasn’t why is this happening or what did I do wrong? Rather, it was an opportunity to just start thanking God in the midst of the circumstance that was happening around me. Did I feel like the walls were crashing down around me, YES. But God. To be still AND know He is the God who is always in control of everything.
In my book, Big Girls DO Cry, I invited God into the deep pain I was experiencing with not being in the day to day with two of my children. Pain is ground for God to come in and move in a persons heart because it allows for God to begin healing. Here is one of the first things God showed me. Although not physically present in my children’s life, that did not take away from being a praying parent. I get the privilege to pray for my children each day several times a day and that is a JOY!!!!
I want to encourage you today if you are walking through a season of unknowns to invite God into your pain. Talk to God, share your heart with Him. Begin to treasure hunt through your circumstance and thank Him for what He is doing as you wait on Him.
Be still AND know~ Psalm 46:10
